Another great value in the Terry line, the Butterfly Cromoly Gel takes comfort up a level with the addition of a thin gel layer along the top of the saddle. For two decades, Terry has been designing and testing saddles with female athletes, distance riders and recreational cyclists. Introduced in 1999, the Italian-made Butterfly represents the best in all that research and development. A wonderful saddle for endurance/distance riders, the Butterfly Cromoly Gel is wider in the rear than typical race saddles for good support of a woman’s sit bones; completely cut away through the nose and mid-section, making it flexible and comfortable against soft tissues; low profile, flat top with multi-density injection molded foam that’s a bit stiffer in the rear for more power while pedaling; cromoly steel rails.

Very good

I like to do cycling tourism, 4 or more days cycling 50 kms/day at leisure pace, and regularly cycle this distance during the weekends to be fit for the trips. I was also trying to break the saddle that came with my new TREK 27’5 and was having a hard time… finally decide to buy the Terry saddle and I am very pleased with it. It is very comfortable and I am not sore anymore, at least for my use (no competitions!). My advice is to test and make small adjustments on the inclination until you find the perfect fit for your body.

I love my Terry bike seat! No more pressure on my soft tissues. My sit bones no longer ache after a long ride. The seat is not squishy but firm, which is what you need for support. I’m so glad I bought this Terry seat. Makes my bike rides much more enjoyable!

I’ve bought Terry saddles for all 4 of my bikes - they require little “breaking in” when new and keep me comfortable over longer rides (50+ miles). I have not tried many different brands, but am happy enough with Terry that I don’t feel the need to. Saddles are a very individual and specific thing - I recommend giving Terry saddles a try if you’re looking for a new brand.

Comfortable saddle for touring

I was nervous buying this saddle, but it hasn’t disappointed. It was comfortable riding with and without bike shorts. If I could go back, I’d probably buy the upgraded version of it, but this one will do for now.

Have always loved this seat. I’ve been buying them since 1998?… and they are exactly what you need if you do a lot of climbing on your bike.

this is just what I have been looking for. No more men’s bike seats for me. You can really feel the difference. No paid after long bike rides. I even bought a 2nd pair for my other bike.

Really helps

This seat made all the difference in the world for me. My rides would get so uncomfortable that I had a hard time enjoying them. I don’t know what is behind the engineering of these seats , but it works.
