No problems, using it on my Macbook Pro under Yosemite 10.10.4 with ZTerm software to program Cisco and Arbor routers. No drivers need, I just plug this device to my USB (Macbook Pro) and set the correct modem and other parameters in Zterm software.
This worked perfectly. I upgraded to Windows 10 and my touch screen monitor quit working. The old serial to usb cable was not compatible with the new version of Windows. This cable fixed it. No software required, I plugged it in and it worked. Thanks!
Works well for our Yoga laptop.
OLD Dell Studio 1458. Windows 10 Home Premium. USB 3 external Anker enclosure with some old random 2.5” HD drive I pulled from an old laptop when I put in an SSD. Enclosure in not powered in any way. Plugged into a USB 2 port, it transferred Ubuntu 16.4 at about 25 MB/sec. After installing this Express Card and installing the drivers from the TrendNet website (Windows 10 installed it but as a general USB controller) and plugging in the card and the drive, nothing happened. Turns out my HDD needs to have the card powered using the included power brick. (Perhaps it wouldn’t need that if the enclosure itself was powered?) Once the card was powered, the drive popped up. Transferring the same Ubuntu ISO, it moved at about 85MB/sec. Substantial increase for a very old laptop.Very satisfied.
works great with the Galaxy S8+!!!! my only reason of buying it is so whenever I travel and I dont have my Google Chromecast with me, I have this to connect my phone to the television with and stream movies or shows.
There isn’t much to say about this item except that it works as expected, shipped with driver media in nice packaging. I had no trouble getting it to work. The only thing I can think of that would make it better is if it had a longer USB wire so one could have the computer a little further away from the serial plug, but a workaround is to use an extension or hub with longer cable.
Originally purchased for use with some legacy hardware, such as some old PC accessories and a DexDrive (remember those?). I’ve used conversion cables like these in the past, and have found them to be pretty hit or miss. However, I was pleasantly surprised; I haven’t had any issues thus far. Keep in mind, however, that this cable isn’t some magical thing that will make your legacy devices work on new hardware; but, as long as your drivers are still functional (or you know how to write your own), this converter will help you get set up.
Works with Lenovo Yoga 910
One of numerous attempts to locate the right cords to attach two monitors to a laptop through a splitter. Would be nice if the connectors were somewhat standardized.
This product is DEAD after 1 month of use
It works Terrifically at short Distances.
I was unable to get this cable to work with Windows 10 and continually received a “The last USB device you plugged into your computer malfunctioned”.
ok
Only use once worked ok
Save your money
Worked fine. No problems
USB is unable to power a super drive. That probably suggests it can’t power a multitude of devices.
