Product Description

With its simple to use control interface and its smooth ceramic glass cooking surface, the True Induction TI-1B is one of the best cooktops on the market. Unlike most other single burner cooktops where they can only be used on the countertop, the TI-1B has the ability to be installed into a countertop. It can be installed in your boat, outdoor kitchen, apartment or simply use it as a portable unit, the possibilities of where it can be installed are endless. True Induction’s high efficiency cooktop utilizes a magnetic based technology that energizes the molecules of the cookware to produce heat. This process is extremely energy efficient as the cooktop never actually produces heat. This allows the heat produced in your pan to cook food faster and at the same time use less power. Ready to start cooking? The optimal cookware for induction cooktop has a flat bottom and a diameter between 4.5 to 10 inches. It is simple to tell if your cookware is compatible with True Induction, simply grab a magnet and if it holds to the bottom of the pan, your cookware is compatible. The most common types of induction compatible cookware include stainless steel, cast iron and steel-enamel. To install this into your countertop, the countertop cutout needs to be 14 14” W x 11” L.

Product Reviews

super product, BUT

real shame to give this only two stars, it is a modern-tech, super product, BUT…..you “MUST” use their cookware or everything is void…..a real sham of support, and my last product from them for any of our fleet. Like buying a new Buickr but, you can only use Buick branded oil, tires, and fuel or you void the warranty…. seen any Buick gas stations lately ? I didn’t think so.Their cookware is the scapegoat for any customer complaints or tech support problems that arise….“whose cookware are you using ?” is their qualifier, it does not matter whose magmetic induction cookware (with symbol) you are using-or what that cookware cost, it will not pass muster for any sort of tech support help. Our numeric settings (1, 2, 3) all yeild the same “real” contact pyrrometer pan temperature, and you cannot simmer on this burner !!!!!We have both Duxtop and Circulon induction cookware, and neither are quality-worthy when trying to obtain help from True Induction, it seems these companies all have “impurities” in their metal bottoms that confuse the Tru Induction unit so that it will not simmer… “however, “if” you have a bona-fide True Induction Gourmrt pan by Sequioa Products (from their set), and it will not simmer—please recontact us we would be glad to help”.

Very nice, and hoping to give it to a senior …

Very nice, and hoping to give it to a senior in residence where they only have a microwave. Haven”t used it yet, but I like that it will either get built in, or stay on its rubber feet. It is a bit bigger real-estate wise than I would like. Seems to take up a lot of wasted space around the controls………

easy to use and portable

Four Stars

Works fine but over priced.

Five Stars

It is what is shown

Will not heat with most cookware

This item will not work with most cookware. The magnetic use conduction feature will not pickup Steel through a thin aluminum bottom that is on most pots and pans.We tested it on these pots:1: Expensive non-stick heavy gauge aluminum pots = FAIL2: Expensive stainless steel pots with aluminum bottoms = FAIL3: Ikea steel pot = PASS4: Cheap, light gauge steel pot = PASSSo, if you have expensive pots and pans that happen to have aluminum bottoms, this burner is useless.
