The Universal Projector Drop-In Ceiling Mount removes the hassle from projector mounting. This patented design replaces a standard 2’ × 2’ ceiling tile. Installation is easy and takes less than 1 hour! Featuring a reinforced steel plate and a white cast aluminum mounting head, this lightweight mount can support projectors up to 30 lbs. The mounting head is designed to dissipate heat for longer lamp life. Additionally, the plate includes cutouts and covers for 2 NEMA standard outlets for mounting additional equipment or electrical components.

Perfect for drop ceilings.

Killer projector mount. Easy to set up. Comes with a safety cable to save your projector if your ceiling t-bar ever fails. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but it actually has five separate locations for mounting the projector, which translates to 14 projector orientations depending on how you rotate the 2’x2’ plate in your ceiling.It’s strong but not heavy and uses high quality parts to secure your projector. If you have a drop ceiling, this mount is perfect for you.

Not deal breakers,

This is a great solution to a drop ceiling mount. I used it in our theater basement room and it was much easier than cutting a hole in the tile and attaching a mount to some other location.I only had two minor issues with the product and I don’t feel like these are deal breakers. 1. The bolts to attach the mount to the projector are a little short and for my projector they did not reach. I ended up purchasing longer bolts at the hardware store. (One side note is my projector needed metric bolts and not standard as well. I have the Optima HD141X projector.) Not a huge issue as I figured with a universal mount there may be some adjustment. 2. The knock outs for power, the holes to attach a box too are a little off. Again not a deal breaker and I managed to make it work.The universal mount can be a little bit to deal with to make it fit and work on the projector, but with a little patients you should be able to get a good fit. I would much rather have a universal mount than one specific to the projector, then if I change projectors I don’t have to get another mount and go through the whole process again.

First time home theater owner here. I unboxed and installed this in 20 minutes. High quality parts and worth the price. Looks great too. Mounted perfectly to my Epson 2040.

Great deal considering that it costs more than $1000

This took only minutes to install once it was put together and now I don’t have to move my projector back and forth and re-orient my smartboard constantly. It also greatly reduced the shadow on the board when my student or I am working on it. Great deal considering that it costs more than $1000.00 to have the district contract people install the projector in the ceiling and I can take this one with me if I move to another room! Great solution for teachers and schools!

Good workhorse at a workhorse price; great combination.

Mounting was just a little bit of work, but once in, these are perfectly functional and let you do a standard install in a 2 x 2 drop ceiling grid for a fraction of the cost of other approaches to solving this problem. Includes the needed tether for mounting above into a beam or other structural support.Design is a little heavy/clunky, somewhat lacking in aesthetic, and the zero vertical adjustability meant for a lower mount in some of the classrooms we put these in than we would have like, but the price is right.

Outstanding product

We chose this mount for our meeting room projector and it works great. We had talked about several ‘work arounds’ to mount our projector in the dropped ceiling and this was by far the best working, best looking, most affordable, and most functional BY FAR. If you have 2x2 tiles this is the choice. Done. Simple. Delivery was quick. Ours arrived without the ‘plugs’ to cover the unused mounting holes. A quick message to the manufacturer and they arrived within a few days. No questions asked. Can’t say enough. With all of the other variables associated with completing our ‘projector project’ this was the easiest and best decision we made.

Almost perfect

This is a really nice mount, the only problem I have with it is the holes for mounting a plus didn’t line up at all, I ended up having to make my own. Other than that I was happy to see it came with hardware to secure it to the ceiling and I like how adjustable the mounting bracket is.

Good Construction, Light Weight

I purchased this to use in conjunction with an InFocus projector on a drop in ceiling dropped roughly 8 ft. It included all the required hardware for installation and came with simple instructions. The mount itself is relatively light and with the projector it weighs roughly 15-18lbs. I mounted it between two double tile lights, so the support was already in place and didn’t require the anchors. There is no sag in the ceiling at all and installation was simple. The only issue I have is that the arm sometimes slightly bends to one side; I’m sure I could just climb up and adjust the screws, but it’s 9’ in the air. I would recommend this to others looking to mount to a drop in ceiling.

Great Mount!

Worked well for a project installing a projector in dropped ceiling. The corner of the mount did come bent slightly, but I assume this happened during shipping - not a big deal…
