Q&A.: QUESTION: Can I connect this Cable to an USB A Male to A male Cable, then change the A male side to HOST? ANSWER: No, the Type C side still to be Host side though even you connect to an USB A Male to A male cable, this is default setting USB-C is Host during manufacturing process. In case of you connect to an USB A male to USB A male cable, You could NOT use the USB A connect to PC/Computer to have data or charging from USB-C (Type C Devices), Like the New Macbook ,Google Chromebook Pixel.

Mostly worked, still a great cable.

Bought this with two applications in mind: Attaching thumb drives and using a cheap-o endoscope with my Asus Zenpad 8 S.The cable seems well enough made, no complaints with the fit and finish.Works like a charm, demonstrating high transfer rates, with my USB 3.0 thumb drive. However, the endoscope fails to work. The tablet will recognize the scope is plugged in, open the app, then no longer see the scope. Not 100% sure this is the fault of the cable, but the scope woks on my phone.Despite this, I would still recommend this cable.

Works on Google Pixel XL.

Works perfectly on the Pixel XL. The right angle end is very nice.I have tried several other OTG adapters on the Pixel phone and none of those worked. Google is picky and cable has to meet exact USB specs.There was a posting by a seller here that has all the original Google Chargers and OTG adapter (which u can not buy from Google seperately)I ordered that 3 separate times an instead received a generic micro usb to c adapter…not the c to a adapter pictured. I suspect fraudulent listing or mislabeled stock. Amazon removed that listing when i called in to report the issues.

Fit the bill perfectly

I needed an adapter cable that would allow me to connect a standard USB flash drive to my Nexus 5X phone. This fit the bill perfectly. I preferred a right-angle setup for the USB-C end. I also wanted an adapter with a cable (as opposed to a one-piece adapter). Again, this fit the bill perfectly. Seems well-made.

Great for MacBook Pro!

New MacBook Pro needed something to help with all those periferals I used to attach to my old MacBook Pro’s USB port. I love the 90 degree angle. Also love the short cable that allows me to attach items without worrying about them being too heavy in the port. Much safer than a straight adapter.

It works great with my Nexus 5X Android phone which has the type C USB connector

I like the right angle because it makes it less likely to put strain on my phone connector and isn’t in the way as much as a straight connector. The OTG compatibility lets me connect USB thumb drives and play videos and music.

Connected my USB meter to my USB-C cell phone and Glooko.

Works well, for me (YMMV), to connect my Bayer Contour Next Link USB meter (which works with my Medtronic/Minimed Revel 723 pump) to my Sony Xperia XZ phone and it’s UBS-C connection so I can use the Glooko app on my phone to manage all of the date produced by my diabetes gadgetry and hopefully improve my diabetes management.

Does not work on OnePlus 3, no response showing on my phone.Edit:Started working when I updated my op3 to open beta 8 nougat. I have connected a xbox 360 controller and it is working perfectly!I think It wasn’t working because in Marshmallow I just needed to enable OTG.Highly recommend!

Works on OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3 owner here, confirming this DOES work with the OnePlus 3, contrary to another reviewer here. You have to enable OTG on the phone (Google “OnePlus 3 OTG” for steps)
