Does not work with lightning adapter.

I use this USB camera connection with a lightning adapter to transfer photos from my camera to my ipad. My prior Canon USB connection (for a different size camera) worked perfectly. This USB connection does not work with my ipad. I get a message that is requires too much power. It will probably work with my computer,but I can just put my flash card directly in the computer slot. I don’t have a use for this.
