I got this to go with the 8 Function LANC controller here on Amazon. I use them together to handle some start, stops and zooms while doing some videos of model work on a table. I can set the camera on a tripod and frame the primary shot and handle the basic functions without getting up and going to the camera. I’m using a Sony HDR CX 160. Good price. Very handy.

I purchased one of these cables, and it worked fine until the male connector became very slightly bent at the end which caused the camera to malfunction. I thought, “Need to be more careful with the equipment.” So I purchased another and took great care with each use plugging the male end into the female end as soon as I was finished using it. Somehow the second one was damaged the same. I’m looking for another manufacturer for the third go around.

It looks more robust than you might like….but it was ordered for some really cheap junk…and this was the line they recommended….it is probably good for what it made for….but I didn’t use it for fear it would damage my good stuff….anyone who puts out low quality items that this was recommended for probably doesn’t care about wrecking peoples stuff as you would never be able to find them anyhow….the wire it self is as described
Cable wasn’t 20 feet
Cable online says it’s 20 feet, packaging says it’s 20 feet, cable is only 12 feet. I purchased the first time and did a replacement with amazon only to get another 12 foot cable. If you need a 20 foot cable, purchase the 50 foot one till this issue is worked out.

The ONLY 20ft Cable
I have a 2.5mm and a 3.5mm jack that a right next to each other, and i already had a 20ft 3.5mm jack, so i need a 2.5mm one that was the same length. I spent a LONG time searching but finally came across this one. It’s the ONLY 20ft 2.5mm jack out there :) They really need to add some keywords for this thing so people can find it easily.
