Very Functional, Better Cable Management than Cheap Glass Shelves

They are not the prettiest, but they are sturdy and functional. I got two sets of these and coupled them together for a total of four shelves. I have them installed on a concrete wall with Tapcon Screws. They feel solid and hold my small consoles and blu-ray player very well. Included is a picture of the shelves installed on my wall. They are on the right side in the attached picture.Note:The shelves on the left side are the “Omnimount Tria 1 B 1-Shelf Wall Furniture - Black/Dark Glass” also sold on Amazon. I bought 4 of those and coupled them together. I included them in the picture for comparison purposes.

This wall rack was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to free up the floor space under the TV for a clean and clutter free look. I read other reviews and I fully understood the width limitations. I bought it to hold a stereo receiver, a vcr/dvd combo, a cable box and a wifi router. Out of the box, the metal shelves are strong, but not wide enough to hold a stereo receiver. I knew I would have to craft something custom, and this shelf kit allowed me to easily attached to my own cut wood shelves to the metal base. I cut two pieces of plywood to the exact width of the receiver, I sprayed them black, and mounted through the predrilled screw holes provided in the underside of the shelf. The components are very sturdy on this shelf.

Easy to install

I used this for my PS4 and Xbox One. I do think the Xbox One is a little to big for the plate however to secure it, I placed some double sided 3M pads under my X1 and it’s not moving unless I want it to. Easy to install, price is right, and looks cool!

Okay, could be better

Overall, this thing works fine. The one thing I wish were better is the strap they send you to keep your components in place. The thing will not stay tight. An elastic/Velcro type strap would have been much better, and I would have paid a couple of dollars more if I knew that strap would be included.If your TV mount is tilted down for better viewing angles, this shelf system will also be tilted. That’s fine, if the component strap were worth anything.The shelf is fine, the strap is crap. A little velcro under your component will probably fix the issue, so you decide.

It is nice if you own the VideoSecu wall mount

It is nice if you own the VideoSecu wall mount, as it adapts easily without needing the drill more holes in your wall. On the negative side, the two support arms are wobbly. However, when the DVD players was installed, it did not move. We put a small table below so that nobody can bump into the DVD player. Overall it worked well for my application.

Cable Box Wall Mount Bracket

I needed something to hold my cable box under my wall mounted flat panel tv in the kitchen, and that’s exactly what it does!The good: The reason I chose this bracket over the others is because the”arms” are adjustable… you can adjust the width and depth, so it will accomodate a small cable box or a larger blue ray / DVD player perfectly. Added safety…came with a velcro strap so that you can secure your device to the bracket. Great quality, arms are made of metal not plastic… solid feel.The bad: While I found it simple to install, BUT…directions were not user friendly. Fully read and understand what you need to do before attempting to install. It came with plastic wall anchors, which are garbage. First attempt, the anchor fell into the wall when I started to install screw… I suggest you use metal wall anchors if you are not anchoring it into a stud. BEWARE… Once you have attached bracket to wall there is a plastic piece that slides over the back to hide the screws. I had to place the bracket lower than I wanted to accomodate this as the tv bracket was right above this bracket and would not allow for me to slide the cover on.Bottom Line…. Great value, I would purchase again. Would have gotten 5 stars if not for the installation issues… follow my advice about the installation and you will not be disappointed!
