Needs redesign, bottom is curved, needs to have a flat area to stabilize

Works very well. Not stable. Bottom is curved, with less than a dime size area that is flat. I have an electric toothbrush and when I place it in the egg, it falls over. This would have been very easy to design with a flatter, more stable bottom. The manual shows the bottom as having about a silver dollar size flat area. My suggestion unless manufacturer redesigns: Be careful when you remove the egg from its original box. Leave the clear plastic that is “hot glued” to the bottom of the egg attached. It works well to stabilize the unit. NOTE: The bottom of the egg is a false bottom that comes off to install & replace the batteries. It is easy to take off even with the plastic attached,

Replacing my old Zapi

I had a Zapi for about three years prior to purchasing this unit to replace it. The one I replaced was still working at the time I received the new one. Although the units separate to allow for internal cleaning, it’s nearly impossible to get it truly clean. Areas in and around the UV bulb get some ugly stuff for which you just can’t clean around. After a while, I started to get a bit uncomfortable about my toothbrush sitting in there with that funk even if the UV light is supposed to keep it sanitized. I can’t help wondering if the UV light is actually working to sanitize the toothbrush, particularly when the nasty stuff, which is mold looking, is right in and around the light. Yet, I do like that it keeps the brush head out of the exposed surrounding environment and supposedly is receiving some benefits from the UV light. I am also pleased that my old unit worked without any operational issues until I decided to replace it. At the price of these units, even if I decide to replace it every year or two, I think the it’s worth the value of the product.

Wonderful little sanitizer but gave it 4 star because it uses a lot of battery!

Love this for traveling

Love this for traveling! I wish it came with some sort of case or lock button (reason for the 4 star instead of 5) because I find it turning on in my suitcase and wasting battery power. I don’t have any way to check if it actually works but it definitely puts me mentally at ease to think my toothbrush is clean :)

Cute but unstable

I like the devic but it is quite heavy. And it easily topples over. I guess that it the trade off for the cute design. I had a prior one but the uv light went bad. I got that one from a discount website so it could have been old. It’s a little bulky but ok.

Cute packaging however no longevity

This item or two a month and then a UV light died. Have tried troubleshooting to no avail. Would not buy this product again.

A bit wobbly, but the UV light is reliable and did not die like most other UV lights I bought.

Initial response

I haven’t tried it yet but I was disappointed with the color. The color is more of a dull industrial looking blue …. not the shiny royal blue as in the picture.

I think I just figured out why my kid keeps getting sick! Yuck! Maybe we got a faulty unit, but I can’t imagine how the toothbrush is getting sterilized when there’s black mold…
