38 Inch Model

I purchased the 38” model this past weekend and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It compliments my Vizio E series very nicely and the additional bass was worth the step up from the 29” model. The sound bar turns on with my set and shuts off by itself after the set is turned off. Bluetooth connectivity is simple and the bass/treble adjustment via the included remote are a breeze. All necessary cables are included in the box along with mounting brackets and screws. This isn’t going to give you the sound that a 5.1 Bose system would but it is leaps and bounds better than built-in speakers and it produces rich, clear sound with a surprising amount of bass. For $100 and about 10 minutes of setup it’s hard to go wrong here.

GREAT Sound! Easy to set-up & use!

Works well for what we needed! Recently bought inexpensive 70” Vizio TV. Good TV, but needed more sound. We are not obsessed with surround sound, loud music, gaming etc…just looking for decent sound for movies, TV shows. Sound is GREAT! Wished it fit under TV better, but it looks fine. Bar is 2 ³⁄₄ in tall, and just barely taller than bottom of our TV. Never even notice it now. SUPER easy to set-up in less than 10 minutes, I did it myself. Getting it out of the packaging took longer than setting it up! Works well with our remote, would recommend to a friend!

Quality issues

Worked OK at first, sound quality was totally acceptable for a bedroom TV. I just wanted something that sounded better than the tinny standard speakers. Worked fine at first, but then it had it started to have issues connecting, then as time went on it had issues turning on. I thought it was the DVR (Cox), or the TV (LG) and could usually get it going using the speaker remote but this morning it won’t turn on at all. Even the on/off switch on the unit itself won’t get it going. I bought it right after Christmas, and four months later it is dead.

WOW! Technology like this exists?!?

You WILL NOT get a better sound system for less than this, I’m surprised it’s not worth at least 150. It’s bigger than I imagined but it’s still very compact, fits very nicely on my dresser, looks great and sounds even better. I hooked up a small sub to it cause the bass on the speaker itself isn’t that much to brag about(that’s my only negative comment about this thing) but added my own sub to it and it’s as close to the movies as you will get without spending a chunk of change on a crazy system. Truly awestruck this technology exists in something like this. I’ve had a few sound systems in the past, even my own custom ones with receivers and by far this is the BEST surround sound I’ve ever had! I find myself jerking my head to the left or right cause I hear something, turns out it’s just the sound bar. Even songs I’ve heard a bunch of times sound new cause I’m hearing things I literally couldn’t before, plus I let my mom hear it and now she’s buying one as well. If you are electronically inclined or just appreciate great quality sound, then I’m DEMANDING you go out and get this!

Great solution for my tv’s dialog problems.

Was having problems hearing dialog when using the regular tv speakers. Thought a sound bar was a good way to go, as the wife didn’t want to have to fire up a dedicated surround system every time we watched tv. This helped immensely. It isn’t perfect, as there are times when I have to turn up the volume but this happens way less than before I got this. Purchased after seeing many positive reviews, both on Amazon and other sites, and have been satisfied with the results. Seems to have decent bass without using a subwoofer and overall sounds really good. Think you’d be hard pressed to find a better alternative at this price range. Hookup was really easy and the unit looks nice in front of my tv. Product was packaged well and arrived in good condition. Would definitely recommend.

Big sound for cheap!

I bought this because the Samsung 60-inch LED TV I bought has what I believe to be the absolute worst built-in speakers ever made.This sound bar is a 10-fold improvement! Easy to install, and fits perfectly in my TV stand, blends so we’ll most people don’t even see it (see photo).It also has a subwoofer out, which is another feature I desired because I had a nice Yamaha woofer left from a previous system. Works great, only need a little subwoofer to make this soundbar really perform.Only negatives are: the included optic cable did not work, it was too short because the input on the soundbar is on the left, and the output on the TV is on the right. $5 for a 6-foot from Amazon fixed that. The remote is also a bit cheesy but it works until I get a good universal. Now if I could just find an easy way to hide the wires…

Fantastic value

This review is for the SB3820-C6 38” Sound BarA few months ago, I upgraded my bedroom television from a 32” Vizio to a 50” Sharp. I loved the size upgrade, but the sound of the new TV was terrible. Music was muddy. Vocals were indistinct. In scenes crowded with background noise and music, it was nearly impossible to hear dialog because everything washed together. I finally decided I could not take it anymore and started searching for sound bars. I needed something affordable that delivered good sound for the money, and this product has fit the bill. Music and sound effects are crisp, vocals are distinct, and there is just enough bass for a bedroom. It is the perfect sound bar for the space. If you are looking for a product upgrade your main living room TV, you might want something higher end with a dedicated subwoofer, but for bedroom applications, you can’t go wrong with this.

Sounds pretty good to me…

I un-boxed this Vizio sound-bar and plugged it into to the optical port on my LG TV. It took a minute to change the sound settings from ‘TV Speakers’ to ‘LG Sound Sync (Optical)’ on the LG TV. I can control the sound-bar volume right thru my TV remote while still using the Volume Indicator ( shows volume 1 thru 100) just like before I used the sound-bar. This thing works like a dream. And the price was lower than The Big Box “W” store (in-person price) by 20 bucks! But you must use the optical port from your TV and this unit comes packed with an optical cable. I believe you would be hard pressed to find a better device in this price range.

Add a subwoofer

This soundbar rocks! Its plenty loud, I only have had it halfway up. I hooked up my powered subwoofer to and it sounds way better. For movies, gaming ,tv.
