Don’t buy this just because it’s a Vornado

I have a larger Vornado for my house and it’s fantastic, however I think the Flippi V is just riding on the reputation.On the two lower-speed settings it isn’t too loud (low is quiet). You can slightly hear the motor noise over the lower two fan speeds.From ~5 feet away this thing quite honestly does not move much air at all - unless you put it on the high setting which is too loud to have a conversation over.I just received it today, so I’ll give it a couple days to see if my opinion changes, but I’ll be keeping all the packaging materials just in case. For $60 I might just return it and get a “real” Vornado.

I’ve been a Vorando fan for years….

Perfect for my purposes - in fact two neighbors noticed mine and now both have ordred one too. Good price plus all the bells and whistles you could hope for. I’ve been a fan of Vornado’s for years. Truth and humor all in one comment. Tah dah!!

I wanted to like this fan

I wanted to like this fan, but the head keeps falling down and there’s no way to adjust the tension holding it up. I’ve been through 3 total after an attempt to replace through Amazon and then Vornado directly. They all had the same issue and i returned them all. Bummer because it’s a neat design. Seems like vornado makes good fans in the traditional style, but they don’t have the flippi figured out.

Too loud

Purchased this fan for our bedroom but it is too loud. I hoped for a quieter fan for the cost.

This thing blows, literally

I caught this for a very good price. Was needing a replacement fan for my work area and for travel this fits the bill perfect. I don’t use the rotate funtion so I can’t comment on that but on high it is kinda loud but moves the air.

Office Best Friend

I got this personal fan for my office and, so far, have really enjoyed it. I started off buying the smaller Vornado V6, but found the air it pushed was laughable at best, so I returned it and got this guy. I am glad I did.If you are looking for a steady, gentle breeze from about three feet away (on the low setting), this is the model of the Flippi line to get. The low setting is practically silent (great for cubicle settings), the middle setting is louder yet still quiet, and the loud setting sounds like a plane taking off, so keep all this in mind.Also, a lot of people complain about the setting dial of the lower Flippi models, but this one is completely push-button! Even better, you can use the remote, though the beeping can be quite loud in an office setting. My only wish was to be able to get this model in a color other than black (though the black looks nice, I’m just the kind of person that likes color!).
