Love the design, functionality left a lot to be desired, maybe defective?

I have a Vornado V8, which I really love. So, when I found the need for a more compact, smaller fan, this V6 model seemed like a no-brainer. I also liked the fact that this model was offered in all kinds of nifty colors. So I ordered it in the Blue Bliss, which turned out to be a perfect mach for my bedspread.I was a little surprised at just how small this model was, I expected it to be a little larger. I love the design of these Flippi fans, they are very sleek, attractive and I like the fact that they can be swiveled vertically. I loved the size, I loved the color and I loved how quiet it was on “low.” Unfortunately, that’s where the love ended. On low I found that the air flow was almost imperceptible. If I was more than a couple feet away, I felt nothing. I had purchased it to keep on a nightstand to blow across the bed. When I tried it on “high”, I was surprised at how noisy it was, with a loud rushing sound and noisy rattling. There was no way we could sleep with this running, so it’s going back. I’m hoping ours was just defective, but based on the large amount of used ones being offered in each color at a discount by Amazon Warehouse, I’m suspecting that it may be a design flaw in these V6 models. My much larger V8 moves a lot of air and does not rattle like this one.All in all, although I loved the design and features of this model fan, the functionality for our purpose was severely lacking. I would highly recommend checking out the larger V8 model if you are looking for effective air flow. If you want something very quiet. and will have it sitting on a desk blowing right into your face, then this one on set on “low” may be for you. Also, perhaps others won’t have the same noisy rattle on “high” that ours did.I rely heavily on customer reviews when I go to purchase an item, and I know others do, as well. I hope you have found the information I have provided to be helpful.

I LOVE THIS FAN

I couldn’t be happier with my Flippi personal electric fan! I suffer from hot flashes, and my husband is always cold. On a cold winter’s day, he will shiver, and I will be in a full dripping August sweat, mainly because the a/c is off and the heat is on. And I at least need air blowing on me, or I’ll just melt. This fan is perfect because it has to be on the dresser above my side of the bed, and it actually tilts! It blows right down on me! The Low speed setting is so quiet, I am very impressed with that. The High makes sound, but it’s a fan, so… I find I am comfortable with it on Low. Also it swivels, so when he asks me to turn the air away from him, I can do it quite easily!

Just ok.

I knew this was going to be a small fan. But didn’t know it was going to be THIS SMALL. I bought it for my bathroom counter because I get hot while putting on my make up. There is an “ok” output of air. Nothing to write home about. I’ll try it for a few days to see if it does the trick

Great Fan!

I absolutely love this little fan. I suffer from heat intolerance due to a chronic illness and I need a fan close by at all times. I tried battery operated ones but I couldn’t afford to keep it in batteries. Then I found the Vornado Flippi V6 Personal Air Circulator. It is wonderful. I find that most times the low setting is plenty for me. I love that I can adjust where it is blowing by swiveling the fan. I really liked the price. It was so reasonable compared to others I saw. It is a very quiet fan comparatively as well. If you are not using the fan you can face the blades down and it almost looks like a pencil sharpener or stapler so it would work on your desk at work. The cord is very long as well which is nice.

Meets my needs

Since for my specific use of this fan has limited space, this ENCLOSED blades fan is the best overall solution.As others have pointed out, its low setting is SO low as to be barely perceptible.Its high setting is effective and for me its noise level is NOT at all unpleasant.It would be MORE effective and useful if it were on a swivel base.It is heavy enough to be stable and that is a big plus for me as well in that limited space and thanks to my frequent disregard for or immediate awareness of the position of things around me!

Amazing little fan

I bought this product for a tanning bed. It was small and perfect for the job. For my use… the fan is not loud on the high setting as that is all I use but when I accidentally turned it on the low setting instead of the off setting I left it on unable to hear it lol! The color is precious and the fan works but is not too powerful for personal use.

Fun little fan.

I purchased this fan for my office & just wanted something small. This fit the bill AND it’s a super cute color.Great for a desk-size fan & it looks nice too.

Noisy!!

Noisy!!! Have had multiple desk fans in the past. After my last one gave out, I decided to try Vornado. I’d heard good things about the brand from friends and colleagues. After doing some research, I settled on the Vornado Flippi V6. It arrived in good condition with Prime shipping. Plugged it in and right away, it starts making an awful buzzing sound. Tried to tune out the sound but it was impossible!! Feels like a beehive in the office. Sound is less intense at lower speed setting. However, at lower speed setting, the fan is pretty much useless! Will avoid Vornado in the future.

Looks nice, but it vibrates and shakes like crazy. Set it on anything hollow and it gets very loud.

No middle ground

This would be a perfect fan, if it had a medium fan speed. The first setting is too low for airflow, and the second level (and last) is too fast for sleeping.

Noisy and isn’t very strong, but what do you expect from a VERY small desk top fan?

Perfect for my needs.

I wanted a small fan for my bathroom. Sometimes it gets hot in there and I just need a light breeze on my face while applying makeup in the morning. This is a nice fan.

Great little unit. Wish it was oscillating. And only two speeds. Pushes air really well and is quiet.

I have this fan in the bigger size, which I wish I purchased instead of this one. This one does not rotate like the bigger one. I love the midnight blue color.

this fan looks very attractive and usable in a small office where there are other people sitting next to you and may not want your fan blowing at them.

You’ve got to be kidding me

Maybe I got a bad unit but this thing blows…And not in a good way. It hardly blows any air at all, much less circulate air. Returning mine immediately!
