I ordered this so that I could charge and have …

I ordered this so that I could charge and have external audio on my GoPro Hero 3. It works excellently. It is surprisingly well built and feels really solid. It was between this or the GoPro brand one. Both seemed to do the same thing, only this was $10 cheaper. The only issue is that the latch on my original GoPro housing doesn’t fit perfectly with the doors this comes with, and it gets a little bit stuck when trying to open it. I sanded down the latch a little bit, and now it is smooth as butter.Even by itself with the GoPro, this extended battery doubles the battery life of the camera. Since I use the skeleton back door and an external battery charger hooked up to this extended battery, I am getting over 5 times the original battery capacity of the Hero 3. Now I can have my camera recording on my motorcycle helmet without having to worry about it dying. So now I can protect myself from other road users.

Buy this thing today and quit swapping batteries so much.

No more swapping batteries all day every day! Just… ¹⁄₃ as often every day. But seriously, with a little focus on when you turn on and off your GoPro, we action men and women (and vloggers) can get a full day of shooting with this and the internal battery, and then plug in both camera and this guy to the wall at night and never have to swap batteries.Totally worth buying (and they make cases for the extra size, so there you have it.)

Does what it says…

Great battery, the GoPro battery is horrible and wouldn’t last for the hour long podcast episodes I record. Got this extender and now I am not worried about running out of juice. I recommend charging the actual camera and the extended battery separately, it seems to be the most effective way to get them at full capacity.

Stopped functioning at a high level.

With the small battery for the hero 4 this battery really makes my camera worthwhile. I feel like i never hear the dying battery beeps with this thingUpdate: 1-26-17 never really noticed for lack of use but now that I’ve been using my go pro weekly the battery always seems to be dead… it had been turning on my hero 4 by itself too kinda sketchy to leave my battery in it at times in fear of needing it and it not holding the charge. I am testing it tonight to fully charge the battery and then leave it for a couple days and see how it holds charge in the go pro and outside the go pro.

Great battery backpack for my Hero 4 silver

Like pretty much everything I order from Wasabi, this thing works great, is well made, comes with good spare parts for the GoPro casing, and performs exactly as expected.

The batter pack was fine and made my camera last longer

The case leaked the first time I took it out in the ocean. It comes with new backs for many of the gopro models. The back for the hero 4 which I have had thinner sealing on one of the corners and it leaked when I took it out spearfishing. The water damage messed up my GoPro hero 4 black and now it has trouble turning off and on. The batter pack was fine and made my camera last longer, but the new case back it came with really let me down.

Perfect with some fiddling.

For the money this is a fantastic addition for your go pro. I used this battery for scuba diving and night time lapses. Fully charged this battery gave me plenty of time underwater.Con: The only downside was the back case, which never seemed to make a perfect seal. Some of the spongy material would always ooze out side side. However with a little bit of fiddling, the case sealed and I did many 60ft dives with no leakage.

Short lasting

Once charged, you must use them immediately. Otherwise, they won’t last. No PASS THROUGH Charging.

I’m very disappointed in this product

The battery only lasts about five minutes. I’m very disappointed in this product.

Batteries won’t hold a charge.

Very disappointed in this product. I have fully charged this battery several times but it goes dead not even attached to my GoPro and just sitting on the counter overnight.

it drains after like 30 minutes of use

it works, but after using it for a year, it drains after like 30 minutes of use…. SUCKS….
