Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser
Size:WP-100 Only Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser
If you think floss removes food particles from your teeth, wait until you use this product!I have $90K out-of-pocket dental work in my mouth. Bridges, implants and crowns. (60 yrs of living) .My dentist suggested to protect all the dental work that I have to do something other than floss and brush. The hygienist and dentist suggested I buy this specific brand & this specific model in order to clean my teeth as thoroughly as possible. They told me not to buy the model w/ the toothbrush attached because they thought this was the best of all product waterpik ovvers.I was surprised at the amount of food that came out of my teeth when using this waterpik for the 1st time. They warned me that it may be a little messy the first time. The key is to put the “wand” in you mouth before turning the machine on so you don’t get sprayed.Just because I paid tens of thousands of dollars for implants does not mean they will last! Surprise to me! You better believe I will do everything I can to product my investment so I don’t have to have them replaced.
I bought this model because the newer, more sleek and even a bit quieter model continued to leak all over my bathroom counter due to the Inadequate (gravity-dependent) mating of the reservoir with the pump unit, resulting in the vibration of the WaterPik was sufficient to dislodge the reservoir just enough for water to leak out. This ‘older’ model of WaterPik, on the other hand, has a wonderfully simple and effectively designed ‘bowl’ into which the reservoir fits quite snugly; any water that might escape the reservoir after it is pushed into position (which has never happened, so far), would be contained within this bowl instead of diverted outside the unit.
I bought it from bed bath and beyond, but I would like to let everyone know about its flaws. We had it for 6 months and we loved it. It works great, but I started to notice black stuff coming out. I wash it with soap after every single use. The other day I decided to open it and it is amazing how gross it is!! It’s filled with mold and I’ve been using it like that for I don’t know how long. Mold is no joke. Horrible design!!
Always loved the waterpik since they first came out. Seems to do a better job than flossing with a lot less effort. Refilling the tank has always been a bit of a pain. Easier to pour water into it than removing the tank each time, So far, working great. No matter how long you brush and rinse, this always finds more left overs to remove.
I have had two waterpiks and one other brand oral irrigator (water flosser) over the past fifteen years or so. That I’m only on my third unit should say something about the longevity of these products. At any rate, I use them every few days or so, and the current one (the model I’m reviewing) has lasted about six years and counting. (In fact, I just bought a second one for my kids’ bathroom.)The biggest issue with the unit is that the hose to the wand gets brittle and either splits or breaks off after (for me) two or three years. The replacement tube and wand (a single unit) are available here on Amazon and are easy-peasy to install (two screws on the bottom, the old one unplugs, and the new one plugs in, rescrew and you’re done in two minutes). That the cut-off button on the wand can get sticky never bothered me – I can get it to unstick by tapping either end of the button (no need to dial up the pressure). The appearance is nice, and it’s easy to keep clean – though the plastic /will/ yellow with age. The wand tips interchange easily, and are readily available. My favorite is the rubber-tipped periodontal wand.Overall, I’m satisfied with this product. It’s not made to last a lifetime, but for me, six years and still going is pretty good.
This is one of the best purchase I have made EVER in my life!!!!! I can’t go a day without using this before I go to bed. If you’re too tired to use this and hop into bed… you will probably be wondering what is stuck in your teeth! You will rush out to your bathroom and use your waterpik.. and tiny pieces of meat or veggies will be flushed out.. and you will be relieved that the meat/veggie will not be in your mouth.. breaking down your teeth as you sleep! I’m seriously amazed at the power of the waterpik. It does a magical job in your mouth.. and it will also do a magical job in your bathroom Sometimes I put it on high power and shoot it at whatever dirty spot I see in my tub. This is a high power pressure washer…. I even use it on my faucet when I see crap building up around my sink.Be careful with this… it can probably take out an eye. Make sure you supervise your kids if they use this because it can also be a deadly weapon. My husband knows, because I “accidently” shot him in the leg with it when I sprayed it into the tub.
I am not a big flosser. I have the same excuse at the dentist every time…..if only I had more time. So when the hygienist suggested a Waterpik my first reaction was to laugh. If I do not have time to floss…..why would I have time to Waterpik?? She convinced me I would use it. Ok I will try it Well I now make the time, because my teeth feel amazing! Far better than flossing!! All I do is add a cap full of mouth wash to the water. My teeth and gums are fresh and clean! I am extremely pleased with my choice of this product. Price was great. It came with several attachments. I would Highly recommend this product!!!!!
I had my first water flosser–exact same brand and model 10 years ago. It served me well all these years till eventually the rubber tubing broke. So I ordered one from Amazon. it is so much louder than my first one I thought it is defective an sent it back. I got another one from Walmart. It is just as loud. Apparently after all these years the price didn’t go down but the quality did. I still gave it three star for it still serves its purpose despite of being very loud.
It does what it is supposed to do and is well designed. It’s a good product.
compact in size so fits nicely on the counter, easy to follow instructions and easy to use
Great product – can’t imagine living without it!
Great quality! Love how it helps me with my dental hygiene.
Not good quality
So much easier than flossing! Cant believe I waited so long to buy one.
It leaks when you’re using it, it leaks when you’re not using it. Even if you empty the tank it will still leak.
perfect
