My genuine Go Pro Hero 4 case broke this last week. I went looking for a replacement and discovered that the genuine case is almost $50.00. Ouch!! So went looking for a alternative and found this case. I was concerned that it might not fit the accessory backs that I have. Particularly the back for the back pack external battery. Also concerned because one reviewer said it did not fit the mounts they had. In the pictures, it appeared to be identical to the OEM case. So I decided to give it a try. Well I am happy to report that it appears to be identical to the OEM case with the one exception that it does fit the mounts much tighter that the original. In fact, one mount was very tight! but it does fit all of the mounts that I use regularly. And the fact that it is snugger, is a benefit for some mounts as it does not slip out of position like the OEM case often did. And all of the backs I use fit just like they did on the original case. So, if you want to save about $30.00, this case will do it.

Unfortunately it did not work for me.

First of all, I hate to give less than stellar reviews, so do not take my rating of only 3 stars to be considered a good or bad review of this item.Unfortunately I had to return this particular Gopro case because my daughter said it did not fit her Gopro, which is the Hero 4 according to her, or the other accessories she had. And it was eaiser to return one item, rather than have to go out and purchase another 5-8 accessories.The above being said, the item does appear to be well made and I wish it had fit my daughters Gopro,because I did not want to spend the $40-50 that Gopro charges for what seems to be the same case. I am willing to always try a “knoc off ” because in many instances the item is just as good or even made by the same company, but under a different name.Good luck. If you have a Gopro, I would suggest giving this one a try. You cannot beat the price.

its not a good fit. my gopro 4 black does not fit inside unless the wifi and action buttons starts blinking. also there was scratches on it like if it was used before. i feel sorry about that

Water got inside the housing

Water went inside the housing while snorkelling in shallow water. Don’t be like me and try to save money on an off brand. Get the Gopro housing don’t make this mistake!

Worthless!

Will not work with any of my current Gopro mounts. I have the Hero 4, and the clip on this skeleton case does not match any of the bases of the original Gopro mounts. It is just about useless. Very disappointed. The housing itself seems durable and fits the camera, but what good is it if I cannot attach it to any of the harnesses/straps that hold the camera.

This is a cheaper replacement housing. Works decently. I haven’t had any leaks. I had the issue of it pressing my LCD screen inwards which caused it to be dysfunctional for a while. It works now. I ended up peeling off some of the padding on the back piece.

The power button of the housing came off and I wasn’t able to put it back together, so there was just an open hole where the power button should be. Which pretry much just made it not water proof. So I just tossed it.

Surprised it fit and worked so well.

No leaks and tight fit. With some bad reviews I was a little worried but was only using this to hold my gopro 4 not go diving in it. I tested it in the water anyway with no leaks even though it was over night and at times against strong jets in hot tub. I did test it with out camera overnight first just to be sure though.

Unfortunately leaks

The water leaked into the housing on a 33ft (15 meter) scuba dive. I did not take it on the next dives. I wish it would have worked like the original casing.

Only half the case

The product made it sound like it’s the entire housing but I wasn’t sent the back cover that the j-hook attaches to. Will return.

The plastic shattered into a web

I’m glad the plastic didn’t shatter into a spider web of plastic while I was in the water. The front plastic over the lens looks like it was hit with a hammer. It was not.
