Sweet soft top

Overall it’s a great beginner surfboard. Any body who can listen to instructions from a surf instructor can ride this board. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because costco sells the same board for 100$. I have taught many people to surf on this board.

heavy and awkward, but paddles well

Paddles really easy and fast. More maneuverable than it looks. Unfortunately, it’s really heavy for a Styrofoam board. The holes where the fins plug in are not sealed, so if any water leaks in there, the board will get waterlogged. Mine has a bunch of excess glue around the tail pad - it’s really sticky and annoying, but it will eventual get covered in sand anyway.The leash tangles easily. You will need to put in some sort of marine swivel to fix this.

Price

Great board, a lot of fun for all types of surfers. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 is because you can get the same board at Costco for $100.

Best first board

Better quality over liquid shredder and greco boards and cheaper… Although mass produced and made in asia if thats an issue

It’s a great beginner board!

You get what you pay for

Would only recommend for children. Board broke in half the first day from light use, and I am only of medium weight.
