Antenna Height: 21.5”
The RV Trucker Spring-Mount Antenna with 13.5ft RG58 Cable & SMA Male Connector from Wilson Electronics is the most powerful high-gain cellular antenna Wilson makes. It accommodates 4G frequencies and is dual band, operating on 800MHz and 1,900MHz. The Antenna gain is 5.12dBi at 800MHz and 6.12dbi at 1,900MHz. This kit is designed specifically for use with RVs, trailers, campers and other nonmetallic-bodied vehicles. The kit includes the spring-mount antenna, 13.5ft RG58 cable and SMA connector and a 3-way so the antenna can easily attach to a vertical or horizontal pole.
Antenna works well, but the seller needs to let people now that an adapter is needed to go to the Wilson cell booster.
Easy to install. Note that this may not necessarily boost your cellular signal any better than the included stubby antenna. For some LTE bands, this antenna actually weakens the signal. It’s not a flaw in the antenna. It’s merely design limitations of one antenna versus another. Make sure the bands and frequencies this antenna boosts will be of use to you. If it will, then you’ll love it!
This antenna works very well with my Wilson 12 volt power booster cradle. I have no bars or service at my mountain cabin unless I find a hillside and hike to the top. This antenna gives me 4 bars of crisp clear cellular service after I installed it on the roof of my cabin and hooked up the antenna to my Wilson booster cradle. I strongly recommend this antenna for anyone who has a cabin where there is spotted cellular service. It is big it is bulky but WOW does it work good. If you are looking for the BEST antenna for your mobile device, look no further, you just found it. This antenna is worth every dime.
Observed no difference in signal strength between this antenna and the one that came with my RV/4g cell phone booster. Returned for a refund. Others have seen an increase in signal so I would recommend to try this antenna to see if it makes a difference for you.
Like a few others, I received a bracket that does not fit the antenna. Specifically, the threaded portion of the spring will not fit through the hole in the bracket. I called Wilson. They were very pleasant and sent me a second bracket…which has the same issue. Unsure if the bracket or the spring is the problem, but the two will not work properly together. I’ll drill the hole in the bracket larger, but shouldn’t need to. This mounted well on my Thule rack with some longer bolts from the hardware store. Allowed me to move the antenna further back on my pickup cap to improve separation from the phone.
I like the product, it does a good job on my game cameras at my deer lease. When I got it, the package was opened and the prongs that you attach were missing. Thankfully, I was replacing an antenna just like this one that had the wire chewed and I could use the prongs from that one. the bracket that you attach to the bottom was also the wrong size and did not fit over the nut on the bottom of the antenna. Again, because I was replacing an antenna I could use the old part. But I paid full price for this antenna and got ripped off by the dealer. would buy the product again but not from the same dealer!
I travel into different mines across utah and colorado. This has been a dedicated route for years. My service area has been extended to the point I have reception almost all the way for my 500 mile one way trip. I figure it’s increased my service over 20 miles from where I’d drop calls and pick them up again. In some places I’d go 40 minutes with no service…now maybe 2 minutes
Need to enlarge hole in bracket, like others stated in their reviews. Not a big deal but you need to drill a couple sizes larger than 3⁄8”.Mounted on top of ladder on back of my 5th wheel. Seems to receive cell signals ok.
I’ve purchased this twice for use with my RV, and both times it had side array rods break off. If you put this in a permanent mount place, you’ll probably be OK.
The antenna works great don’t get my review wrong but twice now the little wire tips break off which causes the antenna to be useless and because you have to send the whole thing…
perfect – well made - Wilson Electronics is tough to beat
While this is technically a Wilson, the quality is not as good as the original. Seems to work well.
best
So far it works good but I believe it’s my T-Mobile carrier dropping most of the calls
Five Stars - JD
