Using 75_ Coaxial Cable
700 Mhz - 2,400 Mhz Splitter With F-Female Connector ; Allows Additional Antenna To Be Used With Wilson In-Building Amplifier Using 75_ Coaxial Cable
I thought this was more expensive than it should have been, till I received it, and compared it to another splitter I bought for 1⁄5 the price. this is about 3 times bigger, and much heavier. The metal box is very thick sturdy metal. Inside the design is very simple (not really anything to break). I bought this specifically for cell phones, and it is tuned and optimized for that frequency range (instead of the wider range for TV reception).I uploaded a picture comparing the two splitters in size, and showing inside of the box.By the way, I used two internal antennas in my home after the splitter. The entire Wilson system works very nice, and I get 2-3 more bars, and at least double the transfer rate on data. Cell phone Antenna is on roof of two story home.
We added an additional antenna using this splitter to our 4g weboost connect. I was a bit concerned because we have 100ft of Coax going from the antenna to the weboost and another 100ft of coax going to each antenna after the wideband splitter which drops the signal -3db. This configuration pushes the limit of the coax loss on a good day yet we still receive 3 bars of 4g which is enough to stream video. Before we had zero reception in our house. Wilson makes a great product which has served us well. I highly recommend calling Wilson Electronics if you have any concerns. They have a great team of technicians which can advise you on setting up your antenna system.
Adding this splitter does reduce signal strength by about half (-3dB). We have a long cable run, and the signal was noticeably reduced. The cell signal amplifier is installed in our garage; the signal is then split with one antenna in the garage and the other in our cottage about 100 feet away. The garage signal is strong since it has a shorter cable length. The cottage signal was noticeably reduced. The setup works great, since there would be no cell coverage without the amplifier. But be sure you have a decent strength signal if adding this splitter.
Seems to work…ALl over the house this spluitter DID NOT reduce the signal with 2 Antennas installed in the attic covering a 4000sq ft house. Now we have 3-4 Bars of $G signal and a SOLID 3 Bars of 3g Verizon signal from 1 lenght of our ranch home to the other.. Thank you Wilson electronics for this product the 700- 2700mhz antennas and the “4601034gPRO Directional kit”.
good deal
essential part for putting two repeaters to the system, really sturdy and well made
Used this item to attach two antennas to one cell amplifier. It worked great! Now I have much wider coverage inside the house. It is wide band and handles all four cell frequency bands fine.
Arrived on time and works as advertised.
Works
It is expensive as heck but you get what you pay for.
Works great but pricey
very good
Great Product
I returned it
works well
