I lucked out here and they happen to match the paint on my walls perfectly. I do not think you need to put nearly as many screws/anchors into the wall for this, however, so I only put two or three total, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Although I am still nervous when I pull the cover off - it’s stuck on there pretty good, so I suppose I could see someone getting frustrated trying to pull the top cover off and finding a way to loosen an anchor if you only used two or three like I did.
Bought this cord concealing kit to use for our mounted tv. The packaging was great and we had no issues with breakage or missing parts. The instructions were easy to follow and I had to assembled and complete within 10 minutes. We have it on a white wall so no issue with it sticking out like a sore thumb. I do like that it’s paintable in case we hang it on a wall that is a color other than white in the future. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking to conceal unsightly television cords.
We recently purchased a new television for our bedroom, and decided to put it and the living room TV up on the wall. Once they were both put up, I loved the way they looked, but the cords were an ugly sight to see. I immediately got on Amazon and looked for covers that weren’t so expensive that they would break the bank. It was then that I came across these. The fact that they came in two’s was a bonus, because that was exactly what we needed. These covers saved the day, and now my living and bedroom wall have a much cleaner look to it.
Situation: Mount a TV above the fireplace without having the mess that cables that everyone else has when they do this. To complicate issues I have 1” thick plaster wallsFound myself cutting into plaster when I stumbled on this product. It looked to fit the bill of fitting two 25’ HDMI cords (about 1⁄4” thick”), optical cord and power supply for TV. Worked perfectly. Lots of extra space if I wanted two more HDMI cords and some CAT 6 cable. Now I just need to paint and I think it’ll blend in perfectly.
I was going to chase the wires and cables for my t.v. through the wall but I am only renting and did not want to do anything permanent to the walls. This worked out great. Painted it with interior latex paint that we had leftover from the walls and it blends right in. HDMI, power, ethernet and audio cables fit nicely with room for more if needed. It only took a few minutes to attach to wall. I actually ended up using Velcro in lieu of the screws to mount to wall and it worked perfectly.
This wiremold is a terrific option if you don’t want to deal with trying to get your cables inside the wall or hiring an electrician to install and electrical outlet behind your TV (note: electrical code does not allow you to run the TVs powercord behind the drywall). I’m a professional AV integrator and I’ve used this product in the past when running cable in the wall wasn’t an option. It installs very simply. After mounting the TV you can just put it under the TV and use a level to make sure its perfectly straight, use a pencil to mark out the screw hole positions, then install some drywall anchors (or screws if you are over a wood stud), screw the bottom piece of the wiremold down, put the cables in position, then snap the cover piece into place. Takes about 10 minutes. Also, the wiremold is paintable and since the edges are rounded, once you paint it it does a better job of blending in than other wiremold that is more rectangular in shape. The reason I docked one star is because even though in the picture it shows the wiremold coming with drywall anchors, my unit did not come with any. Luckily I have a ton of those things lying around, but if you don’t you might need to make a run to the hardware store.
We live in an apartment. Our landlord allowed us to mount our TV, but we couldn’t run the wires behind the walls. This wad the perfect solution. Our TV looks great, and the wires are hidden. We had to put a couple extra holes in the wall, but the can be easily filled and painted.
This has quick and easy installation and does the job great. It is good because it is easy to paint the surface to match your existing wall color also. I installed a flat screen tv on my wall and it looked great except for the cords hanging down from the tv and the wifi booster. SO this made a huge difference and it looks nice now.
These are easy to install and look pretty good after painful..
Painted wall color, looks great for wall mounted tv
This hid all the wires when we hung our tv on the wall. That means cable, power, and DVD player. I panted it to match the wall. So much nicer
Works well.
Super easy to install in one piece…tricky if you have to cut (somewhat thick), works perfectly, is quality not flimsy…
Excellent product. After painting over it looks great.
After painting this it blends in perfect with the wall. You don’t even know there are cords under it.
Really easy to install, I am going to buy one for every room.
