A great dashcam for a very reasonable price.

I bought this to replace another brand that suffered a mount failure. The Yi camera is amazing. The picture is ultra clear and can be streamed on smartphone. The mount IS NOT a suction cup but attached by adhesive so make sure you place it in the location youre sure you want. The power card is nice and long allowing you to hide in trim if needed.READ MORE

Good dashcam

Was expecting less out of the YI Dashcam, got a really great camera for a good price. Video looks great although I prefer the 60fps at fullhd vs the 30 fps 2k rez. The cable is nice and long and really does fit on the predesigned track. Good product, I recommend it.READ MORE

Great quality camera and very good value

Great quality camera and very good value: a must have for every car.It doesn’t have GPS, so don’t expect it to have location or speed data (which can be very helpful in the event of an incident), but I do believe that every vehicle should have one and this camera works great.The lens is wide angle enough to cover the entire front of my car from it’s viewing point attached to the windshield. It comes with a very long MicroUSB > USB cable to power the device and includes a 12v to USB adapter. It has G Shock detection for an accident, but I am fortunate to have not tested that.The ‘incident’ button commits about 15 seconds before and 15 seconds after the button press to a separate file. I find this to be inadequate, but the 32GB SD card I have in the device (not included) lets me record ~6-10 hours of video (conveniently chopped up in 5 minute files), so I just have to remember to pull the whole file off later.It has WiFi access point built in, so you can use the free Android app to connect to the camera, adjust settings and view/download videos. But, as with most WiFi enabled devices, when you attach to it’s network you will likely not get cellular data to your phone, so don’t expect to connect to it for very long.It has a lane-departure and forward-crash warning feature that attempts to perform some sort of analysis on the video it sees to look for cars and lane lines, but it’s absurdly useless, so I leave that disabled.READ MORE

Easy install. I haven’t played back any video yet. The Driver Assist feature is a little sensitive and can be difficult to hear if you have a radio on. Seems to function as designed so far.READ MORE

So so image quality, bad battery.

So so image quality, bad battery. I bought two of those, one for my car and one for my wife. One of the camera’s battery died within a week of use.

very good dash cam

After 8 months of using this dash cam I can give my honest opinion about it. I live in a very hot climate where the temperature in the car can get really hot.

A+ Camera! best one at this price point.

Nice video easy set up great price for camera. 32 gb holds about 3 days of video before it starts rewriting for me. In this price range this is the best camera.
