GREAT Skeleton Case!

I love my YI Action Camera 4K and this was actually the accessory that I have been looking forward to the most! I ordered this (Paid FULL PRICE) for it the day it came out!!! This is an AWESOME skeleton style case for your Yi 4K!! Not only does it protect your camera from drops when not using the waterproof case, but it also makes your camera look VERY NICE!! This case is full leather and includes a UV filter to protect your 4K lens as well!! Awesome design, Awesome CASEPros1.) Genuine Leather - Smell that leather as soon as the box is open!2.) Great case with minor issues

I purchased this case for my new YI 4K Action Cam because I didn’t want to scratch/ruin my action cam early in its life. This is a nice case from Yi and I really liked that it comes with a protective lens. I’ve taken pictures with and without this protective lens, and both were great! The case is a pretty snugged fit. I had to push my camera in a bit harder than I wanted to (but not too hard so my camera is still in perfect condition). I wish it had a small slot for a wrist string so that I could hang the camera off my wrist as an additional security (don’t want to drop my phone). The one issue I have with my case, however, is that I am unable to charge my camera while it is in the case. There is an opening for the charger, but after pulling out the cover where the microUSB goes into the camera, I am unable to plug the cable into the camera due to the thickness of the cable/case. So every time I need to charge my camera, I need to take it out of the case which can be a bit of a hassle because I have to push it in and out of the case. I hope the case will stay in its good condition though! Below is a picture I took with the protective lens on.

Two minor problems, but good protection for the camera.

I agree with one of the other reviews I read for this item - it makes the charging cable a little hard to plug in. You have to kind of stretch the plug cover a little to get the cable in. Not a huge deal, really, but mildly annoying. The one other minor issue I have with it is the shape of the back rectangle. It isn’t quite square with the case itself, so when the camera is in the case, it looks slightly crooked. It has made me question a few times whether the camera is level, or if it’s just the case that’s crooked. It’s the case. I’ll post a photo later if I remember.Besides those two minor things, it’s a great little case. I feel better having the lens cover on, and a little padding on the camera. I don’t always want the waterproof case, because the audio is then very muffled. That’s why I bought this case, and it serves its purpose well - offers some lens and camera protection without covering the microphone holes.

Would be nice if it had a cap for the UV lens

Needed something to protect the YI 4K lens and figure getting the protective lens from YI itself would be great. Turns out its just ok.The leather case is decent, it’s a full body cover which is great but makes changing batteries a bit of pain. You’ll have to completely remove the case to get access to the battery. The build quality and material I wish was better considering its price and being from the brand itself.The UV lens is nice and well built, no issues with it so far. Though I wish it included a protective cap for the UV lens. I mean I got it to protect my YI 4K lens but would be nice it I can also keep the UV lens protected as well when stored away.

Its decent

Not a fan of the magnetic latch situation going on here. It works and the entire set up is REALLY nicely done. but its not something that really protects the camera (except the lens cover which works nicely except the coating isnt as clean and smooth as it should be). SO dont get this if you want a case that will do much beside keep finger prints off the camera housing and make it a bit easy to hold on to.

Good case one draw back

Very nice case seems to be real leather. Only real complaint is the hole for the usb connection was a touch small and even after opening it a little it’s still tough to get the door open and out of the way.

Protect your investment!

Looks great, the UV lens protector sits snug. Completely wraps your Yi 4k and keeps it protected and accesible.The only con for me, it will not fit inside a Zhiyun Rider M gimbal, the leather case make the camera too thick. This may not apply to your usage.

It is made pretty well, especially for the price

This case was exactly what I was looking for! It is made pretty well, especially for the price. The filter is a nice touch as well. The Bezel of case actually aligns perfectly, but not to the screen offset, which is fine. A must have along with a screen protector.

Premium Cover and best protection

Great product, you can immediately tell its a premium quality product. It is the from the original manufacturer as well.

Lense doesn’t fit help??

The leather case fits my 4k+perfectly but the UV lense cover doesn’t. It fits over it but not snug falls right off what can I do???

It fits like a glove!

The case appear to be of decent quality and fits quite well. UV lense fits tightly and doesn’t interferes with field of view as the one for 1st gen YI action camera.
