An Excellent camera at an Excellent price.
What a fantastic little action camera. The image quality is amazing compared to the Go Pro…which you have already heard. But I want to point out a few things that I didn’t know purchasing this.Image Stabilization:The EIS (Electronic image Stabilizer) on the Yi is awesome. I have used $1000 Sony RX 100 Mark V and this is comparable to it.Touch screen:Very responsive. Bright. But you can’t see it with polarized sun glasses on.Things I wish it had:1. Ways to shoot with 4k/60 fps with a medium or Narrow FOV.2. 4k/60fps with EIS.3. Optical Stabilizer instead of EIS.

Edit 10/2/2017 : Holy crap, what customer service!!! I hadn’t reach out to them yet for the battery but I came home today and in a packaged letter was the 1400mah battery :D This is awesome customer service. If I can give 6 stars I definitely would. Changed my rating from a 4 to a 5!!!bought the camera as a supplement to my Sony FDRX3000/W Underwater Camcorder 4K, White. Loving the camera and its quality in the video. I didnt think 4k60fps was that much of a big deal but then when I finally saw it I was amazed!!! I bought a Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME128GA/AM) and it works great with this camera. 130mbps is no problem with the card. The camera came with 1.2.6 firmware, but I updated the firmware once it arrived to 1.3.11The EIS is pretty good, better than a GoPro HERO5 Black but the sony fdrx3000 BOSS is the best in an action camera. Sound is great too, better quality than the gopro 5 which has a tinny sound. The Yi4k+ has more midrange so you can actually hear people talking. Voice command is a great option to use if the camera is out of reach. Its comparable to the gopro 5 voice performance but I rarely use it. It takes much better photos than the fdrx3000, the video is on par too, but the yi4k+ is so much better at night time because of the options for iso and shutter adjustments which the fdrx3000 cannot be changed. I love the Yi flat color profile, I think it has the best flat color profile out of all the action cameras.The only reason I gave it a 4 stars was because I got sent a 1200mah battery with the camera…..pretty sure the yi4k+ has a 1400mah. They sent me the Yi 4k lite battery instead inside the package…..The 1200mah did get atleast 110 mins of 4k60fps recording time with wifi on.Would be nice if they sent me the CORRECT battery!!!
Fantastic little camera
Fantastic little camera. Night shots are a bit grainy, but most likely due to auto ISO setting, I will play around with manual night shots later. Day shots are amazing. Tested 4k 30/60fps - works amazing. Also image stabilization is very significant when turned on. 1080p @ 120fps works great. This is definitely a competitor to a GoPro5/6. Well worth the money!
The GoPro Yi 4K+ Camera
Sold my GoPro Hero 5 because of sub par stabilization. Had it replaced and replacement still had sub par stabilization and ratting noises inside. Had that one replaced and sold it without even trying it. Not to mention awful technical support. But went out and purchased the GoPro Hero 6 and returned it after one week due to crappy sound quality. Audio quality went from decent from the Hero 5 to worse on the 6. Decided I was pretty much done with GoPro. I had read so much about the Yi but was a little skeptical and after I returned the Hero 6 decided to give it a try. Wow! I’m blown away by this camera. This is what the Hero 5 should have been. Awesome video and stabilization quality. Sound is not the greatest but far better then the Hero 6 in my opinion. The only thing I wish it had is the one button operation that the Hero 5 and 6 had. Push the shutter button to turn on and start recording and when done push the button again to stop recording and turn off camera. During my 3 hour bike rides I still had 75-80 percent battery left. As to the app it transfers the videos rather slow to my iPad so I’m using the GoPro App by taking out the memory card from the Yi and inserting it to my GoPro USB drive. It opens up the GoPro app automatically. I’m then able to transfer the videos to my iPad quicker. The app doesn’t auto rotate either. Upgrading the firmware was a breeze as it prompted you when connected to the app via Wi Fi. Other then the app and the one button touch this is a very nice camera. If you’ve had it with GoPro or looking for your first action camera, do not pass up this one. Good Job Yi.

After weeks of research and review analyzing on action cameras that’s available on the market, I finally decided to go with the YI 4K+.
yes maybe the colors arent as vivid as the GP but its certainly pretty darn close
Wow, finally i think there isa a GPH6 killer and its here, am very impressed with the quality and the 4K60 is incredibly smooth and superb clear picture….

This camera is great! I really like it.
4K 30 FPS electronically-stabilized video for a very reasonable price.I would give it 5 stars if there were a way to charge it and use an external mic at the same time.
