PACKAGE ONLY include Gimbal. 12-Month Warranty service only for the item sold by Yi. It’s important to calibrate the unit before use.
Developed for professional shooting the YI Handheld Gimbal features a 3-Axis gimbal head with 3 operating modes, combined with a built-in high precision sensor and brushless motor, you won’t have to worry about rocky roads and shaky hands when shooting.
A flexible 3-axis pan/tilt/zoom with 320 degree pan/tilt rotation allows you to capture stable shots of fast moving objects.
I bought this on prime day - very excited due to the discount down to $99. But now I can see why. This product was great. Charged up, functioned as expected…but on first use it broke. Two of the axis work just fine (up down, tilting) but the panning axis…seems like the accelerometer or gyroscope is completely broken.I contacted amazon for a replacement - they’re not carrying it anymore so not possible. Yi, the manufacturer, hasn’t responded to my support email in 3 days. Not sure what’s next
Awesome Gimbal for the money. Will require calibration as out of the box it is leaning slightly to the left with the camera attached. Only con i can think of is that it does not support a waterproof case. If you plan on using it in deep or wet snow, you will have to be careful not to damage the camera.
Fantastic
Works great for yi 4k or 4k+. Screws included bended easily, should have included 2 sets instead.Looking for options to manually adjust the pan / tilt either by phone app or remote.UPDATE 2 MONTHS AFTER 6/5/17:Not sure if I got a defective product or it is a known glitch but the gimbal, when on LOCKED mode, pans slowly to the right after 20 minutes. Also, the battery metals connectors are showing signs of rust. I only used this for couple of times in the last 2 months, never got wet and we don’t have humidity here in LA, so I don’t know why this rust is showing up.Im now looking to return the product and get a full refund. Waiting for the seller to get back on me.
Got it on time and just as expected.
Short Review: I purchased this last week on the Lightening Deal due to the Feiyu Tech QD Gimbal that I already owned not working properly with the Yi Action Camera 2. (The Feiyu Tech QD Gimbal had a pressure arm that held the camera in unlike this classing screw clamp on the Yi Gimbal. That pressure arm always pressed the power button turning off the Action Camera).. I am impressed with this Gimbal from YI Technology and the price, even at $199 is a steal!! It even works with GoPros and most other Action Cameras (As long as they are the same size as the YI).. Just keep in mind, this gimbal was DESIGNED for the Yi 4K so it will work much better with it.. I know I will talk about Feiyu Tech a lot in this review but they are the other company who makes budget friendly gimbals that are good quality.Pros1.) Just a Gimbal & And not a hand grip - Why is this a pro? Basically this Gimbal will WORK WITH ANYTHING that has a standard camera tripod mount screw!! Buy a GoPro tripod mount and you can NOW ATTACH this Gimbal to anything such as chest mounts, helmet mounts and more!!2.) Light Weight - This doesn’t add much weight to your mounts making it comfortable on chest mounts and more.3.) US Support (Or at least support that has a good understanding of English) - Feiyu Techs support, while decent, didn’t have a good grasp on English and sometimes very hard to understand4.) Includes everything needed to get you started - Batteries, Battery Charger, USB Cable, and Software.. Software can be found online on Yis Site5.) Softwareless Calibration - My Feiyu Tech Gimbal could only calibrate one arm without software.. With this gimbal, you can calibrate the entire thing without software. This is GREAT if you are out and about and find your gimbal titling or rolling.6.) Price - Price is AWESOME.. My Feiyu Tech was over $300.. This on a Lightening Deal was under $175.. Even at the time of this review it is still a deal!7.) Screw Mount Works with MOST Action Cameras - Like I said earlier, My Feiyu Tech QD didn’t work well with cameras other than GoPro.. This was due to the spring loaded pressure mount. The screw mounts, like the one on the yi gimbal, might take a little longer to mount the camera BUT they do work with more cameras.. I have tested this Gimbal with GoPro and other generic cameras and it works fine!8.) US Support and Help Site - A dedicated US Support site makes this much easier to use and update vs the other Chinese gimbal makers9.) Quality seems outstanding!10.) Silent Gimbal - My Feiyu Tech made buzzing noises at time.. I returned it and ordered another and it had the same noises so I determined the noises where normal.. This YI Gimbal makes no noises at all!11.) Wonderful Battery Life12.) Also makes a nice camera stand for your table!Tips1.) Software for this can be downloaded from YI’s US website2.) If you want a hand grip to go with this, grab the YI Bluetooth Grip.. This Gimbal was designed to work with it and works great
the design blocks the view of the screen, and it is too pricey for the performance
Yi didn’t disappoint - their products are always of great quality and low value - keep it up
I bought this gimbal with the Yi 4K+ camera for snowboarding. It’s been a hot year here in Southern California and the local resorts are still not open due to the unrelenting hot…
This is alright. but for the price, you can’t compare it to the more expensive gimbal. It’s the most basic gimbal you can find. It stabilize and does a fine job at it.
BUYERS BEWARE - this gimble will only work if you have a WINDOWS computer. NO WHERE in the product description will it say must have Windows to download firmware.
When the gimbal is not level or at 90 degrees, it doesn’t work well. When you pan it will not return to center when the gimbal is in the 30-60 degree range.
Package came same day, everything with the gimbal itself is OK, my only complain is that it will not work with GoPro Hero 5 - That camera is just fractionally too big.
The tiny screw of the battery case is really a pain, almost lost it several times. One button to control three moods and if you missed one you have to do it cycle again.
I’ve just received this great gimbal for only $90!! It is well made and works just fine. I immediately got it firmware updated and calibrated as well.
I bought this to start getting stable footage while I was mountain biking. Unfortunately whenever I took a corner, the gimbal would take a very long time to recenter itself.
Did not install the camera itself will be shocked, installed and then open just fine.
